ElPozo — Beyond Tomorrow
01 / 09Grupo IDEX hired me to direct and produce the eight films of ElPozo’s annual event: a deep-space mission told on a giant panoramic LED screen.
Project Summary
Grupo IDEX hired me to direct and produce the audiovisual backbone of ElPozo’s annual event. The brief was simple to say and hard to do: turn a company meeting into a journey. We wrote it as a deep-space mission, Beyond Tomorrow, in which the ElPozo team leaves the station, charts a route through the “Galaxy of Innovation” and the “Constellation of Talent”, and jumps to hyperspace towards the future of the brand.
Eight films, each one opening a part of the evening, played on a panoramic LED wall more than three times wider than it is tall. Every shot was composed for that format, so the stage, the presenters and the screen read as one single set.
3D, motion graphics and AI in one pipeline
The ships, the station and the cockpit were built in 3D; the star maps and mission interfaces were designed and animated as motion graphics; and the astronaut crew was created with AI and finished in compositing. Directing all of it under one art direction, one colour and one light, is what makes the story feel like a single film.
A trip to the brand’s future
Film 03 lands the ship in the year 2032 and imagines where ElPozo could be: a festival on a floating stage, its own arena, sport, the city, a crew eating ElPozo on a moon base, and new products reaching people in new ways. Every scene was generated with AI from a written brief, then art-directed, retouched and composited so the brand, the light and the blue of the mission stay the same from shot to shot.
Below you can see three of the eight films: the opening, the future and the finale.
